View Poll Results: Server Distribution of the Year
I used to go CentOS for servers but.. I'm just getting to the point where I won't put systemd inside anything but a VM unless I have to.. let alone something I need to be stable.
I really tried to vote for the server distro we have at work, the latest version was much better than the last version from 2018.
But, went with Slackware again, far simpler and easier to maintain + much more stable. The one I used in the basement had no issues and went down unexpectialy only due to a power supply issue (it runs 3 services, excluding ssh). Wish I could say the same for work
Granted, what I have running at home is trivial compared to work. But my home hardware is also a joke compared to work. So I believe the parameters balance out.

Reason: expanded
Slackware, but trimmed down into whatever I need at the moment, which isn't usually much.
At the moment I'm running a Trac focused installation in a VM, which I could also just run locally since it's completely personal, but what else am I going to use vms on? Gotta keep in touch with them somehow, heh.
