i've been using a combo of noscript & request policy for years now (together with systemwide site blocking via /etc/hosts).
if someone could tell me how to replace those two addons with one, please do tell.
one blocks javascript, the other blocks all requests (not only javascript) to other sites completely.

Voted HTTPS Everywhere, but I also like Privacy Badger and sometimes uBlock Origin.

Ublock Origin first, HTTPS Everywhere second, and pretty much anything that makes my browser fingerprint less unique third (such as CanvasBlocker).

uBlock Origin is the first Add-on that gets installed.

NoScript - it takes some tweaking but it's worth it.

?

Not sure how NoScript made it on the same list as uBlock or Privacy Badger.

I could understand that NoScript blocks those particular scripts that probably track you (i.e. Google) but I can't say its main purpose was ever privacy.

This is from me using it for a long while now.

On the other hand, I can definitively say that Privacy Badger is a full-on privacy-focused extensions for Firefox.

My vote goes to uBlock Origin. uBlock & Ghostery extensions get installed on all web browsers, on every system in the house.

ScriptSafe is another one might use in Chromium, but also now works in Firefox. Some users I know prefer ScriptSafe over NoScript, for more detail.
