It might sound like vomiting (at least to my German language brain), but urxvt is my choice.

voted urxvt which however I use almost only for running alpine (due to unicode support). Use xterm for most other work.

I also discover Yakuake and with Konsole make the perfect partners as terminal emulators. Nice job!

Sakura. No contest.

I've tried getting Cool Retro Term to run in Puppy, but me and Qt5 do NOT see eye to eye.....and it's a lot of arsing about just for a terminal emulator.

I rather like Terminator, but I usually end up going back to Konsole.

I hope I'm not the only vote for Kitty.

As for st? I stopped using it when I found it that it didn't support colored emoji because it was using deprecated X APIs.

gnome-terminal

Used to be Konsole but its inability to recognize the "-geometry" argument (for years) or size a terminal according to the values in its config (ask for 80x24 and get 80x23) has put me off. I've switched to gnome-terminal even though I'm a KDE/Plasma desktop user.

urxvt mostly followed by roxterm. But I voted roxterm since it has been recently revived.
