MX XFCE and KDE - it's a toss up.

Both very reliable.

I must say I've become quite attached to Mageia, though I still quite like Debian. Both of them are quite stable.

Cool Desktop Distribution of the Year

openSUSE Tumbleweed hands down, used it now for 2 years straight on two hi-power workstations and not a spot of trouble

Every once in a while I get bored and try all sorts of desktop distributions, well established ones, new kids on the block, specialist dists, but in the end I always return to openSUSE, Tumbleweed version last couple of years.

A list of 33 distros were some are derivates of another distro listed... this makes even less sense than Distrowatch's popularity ranking.

Also I'm a bit unsure what a qualifier for a Desktop distribution is, seeing that most of the choices do not require being used as a GUI distro, and many do not even default to that...

Anyhow, mine's on the list so I voted for that.

I would have voted Garuda, surprised it didn't make the list.
